Couples Counseling
As couples embark on the journey into therapy, they may often be grappling with communication breakdowns, recurring conflicts, or a prevailing sense of emotional distance.
In my role as a couples therapist committed to fostering emotional connection and relational growth, I draw upon Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and somatic therapy. These frameworks allow me to explore the intricate dance of emotions, attachment needs, and bodily experiences within the context of intimate relationships. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where couples can embark on a journey of self-discovery and mutual understanding.
During our sessions, I guide couples in unraveling the underlying patterns of communication and attachment fueling conflicts. EFT serves as a compass, uncovering unmet emotional needs and fears. Incorporating somatic therapy allows us to explore the physiological aspects of emotional expression, offering a holistic approach to healing the mind-body connection within the relationship
Beyond conflict resolution, the journey involves creating a secure emotional bond and understanding each partner's unique needs. I emphasize cultivating emotional responsiveness and attunement, empowering couples to navigate challenges collaboratively. Through this transformative process, couples can not only resolve conflicts more effectively but can also rediscover a sense of intimacy and connection.
A successful outcome in our work together is marked by couples who not only navigate their challenges with increased communication and understanding, but also find joy and fulfillment in their relationship. Couples often report feeling more secure, connected, and confident in their ability to weather life's storms together.
